It is a social investment Fund that has also provisioned structured loans to the rural entrepreneurs linked with Drishtee service and product delivery model, through Drishtee Foundation. With Acumen Fund’s investment, Drishtee has been able to develop its service models for delivery of critical services like Education, Health and Micro-Credit. Also the support and guidance from Acumen has helped Drishtee go stronger and more focused for achieving its vision.
Drishtee has made a commitment for 2015 in the Clinton GLobal Initiative (CGI) for enabling Education and Livelihood for 2 million rural families; providing banking and micro-finance services to 10.5 million families; and facilitating basic healthcare for 1 million rural families. Drishtee’s Co-Founder, Satyan Mishra, is an invited member of this Global Initiative since 2008.
International Finance Corporation, IFC’s Grassroots Business Initiative (GBI) has provided Drishtee with grant funding to reinforce and scale up its network of entrepreneurs.

Some of the projects include, Delivering rural e-Commerce and e-Health in rual villages using tablet PC, Penetration of ICT in rural India, ICT Kiosk pilot in West Bengal, etc.
Drishtee has assisted the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India for ICT Segmentation of 2488 Gram Panchayats in Assam. Drishtee Foundation had developed the ‘ICT Segmentation Model’ for this study.

Among the first companies in India to include commitment to environment protection as a corporate objective, ACC has been highly appreciated and won accolades for its environment friendly measures taken at its plants and mines.Drishtee and ACC have joined hands to train unskilled masons through a “Masonry skills development program”. The trained masons would be certified by ACC and Drishtee as they also handhold them for placements with the local or central level sites or builders. The program is also a part of the Drishtee Community College (a part of IGNOU’s Community College Program) as a non-credit ‘Participatory Program’. It includes training on various masonry skills as well as personality development.
Drishtee has partnered with the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), one of the most important and prestigious departments of the Government of India which oversees the development of rural areas in the country. Drishtee has undertaken to train 13,000 rural youth from Below Poverty Line (BPL) segment, under the program SGSY (Special Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana). The project is being implemented in two different states, U.P. and Bihar, being supported by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and Department of Rural Development, Government of Bihar, respectively. The objective is to move these youth and their families to the Above Poverty Line (APL) segment through skills development and placement / livelihood support.
