Drishtee is a for-profit public limited company with a tiered franchise and partnership model. It facilitates the establishment of ICT nodes enabling access to information as well as local services to the rural community at nominal value. The business model is driven by the village entrepreneur, who owns the village node to operate a self-sustaining, profitable kiosk. By offering various products and services and by charging the community a nominal fee the rural entrepreneur earns. Drishtee has a fixed sharing with the Kiosk operator and a variable revenue sharing with the service providers. The Social Return on Investment Analysis shows that for every US$1 of social cost incurred, US$20 of social benefit is generated.

Currently where Drishtee is generating 25% of its revenue from the sale of various services via Drishtee Kiosk, it has ready plans to convert this figure to 90% by the end of the year 2010 and make its services available and accessible to more and more villages across India.
