Drishtee is a rural network for delivering services and related information to the village community through an ICT Center called as Drishtee Soochnalaya or Information Kiosk. Drishtee has designed its own Portal (both for the Internet enabled computer and the GPRS-WAP enabled mobile with the following special features to aid kiosk and its village customers:

• Multi-lingual content in various Indian languages & English.
• Centralized application on web server, no hassles of installation or data mismatch.
• Elaborate administration mechanism is possible through the portal back-end to monitor node activities and maintain quality of services offered to the kiosk users.

Drishtee is using multiple connectivity options like Dial-up, GPRS & V-SAT to resolve internet connectivity problems existing in rural India. Drishtee's technological advantages are that it helps in:

• Creation of a new breed of IT literate generation who become a role model for the younger generation especially in the rural areas.
