Today, India is one one of the fastest growing economies.It claims to have largest chunk of English speaking labour that come at good price and average income and Gross Domestic Product is growing. In saying all these, we are forgetting the fact that what we are calling as growth is just about our urban population and neglecting the majority of population living in rural areas.

For centuries India's villages have contributed to the growth and sustenance of the economy. Agricultural produce,spices, hand-loom and handicraft constituted the majortrade items in rural economy.
